The Lorouêr-Pays de Lucé Heritage Association is organising a concert of early and contemporary classical music at the Church of Saint-Vincent du Lorouër during the European Heritage Days (JEP) this coming September. The concert will be performed by the talented Bercé String Trio, accompanied by a highly experienced flautist. The theme ‘Evocation’, chosen for the programme, will take the audience on a broad musical journey from the 18th to the 20th century, ranging from Jean-Philippe Rameau to Jean Cras, whilst also featuring works by Vivaldi, Camille Saint-Saëns and Frédéric Mompou. It will showcase the sounds of the three string instruments (Catherine Prada, Pascaline Bitschené and Geneviève Lebert) and those of the flute (Caroline Deplancq) within a varied and original musical world. This ‘donation-based’ concert will also serve to highlight the exceptional setting of the church’s vaulted ceiling, decorated in 1634 with 92 depictions of ordinary people – images that richly deserve to be preserved for future generations – and which is notably highlighted by the national theme ‘’ Heritage at Risk’ chosen for the 2026 European Heritage Days. Through their attendance, visitors and audience members will thus demonstrate their support for the promotion and long-term preservation of local heritage
