Cycling is a pleasure in the Vallée du Loir!

Saddle up and follow these 9 loops (from 16 to 50 kms). Forests, vineyards, ponds or meadows, each route takes you on a journey through unspoilt countryside. From Ruillé-sur-Loir, via La Chartre-sur-le-Loir and Marçon, to the remarkable gardens of Le Lude and even as far as La Flèche, you can admire the landscapes of the Vallée du Loir. Easy to get to, these loops offer something for everyone, from novices to experienced cyclists.

In the Vallée du Loir, you can also take advantage of over 110km of safe greenway routes on former railway lines:

  • 33km between Montval-sur-Loir and Bessé-sur-Braye
  • 20km between Le Lude – Luché-Pringé and La Flèche
  • 26 km between La Flèche – Baugé en Anjou and Cuon
  • 10 kms between La Flèche and Durtal
  • 27 km between La Flèche and La Suze-sur-Sarthe

The greenway between La Flèche and La Suze-sur-Sarthe has been open since June 2025. For 27 kilometres, you can follow the old railway line that linked La Suze to La Flèche, passing through Villaines-sous-Malicorne and Malicorne-sur-Sarthe.

Around La Flèche, there are a number of cycle routes to discover the rich landscapes and heritage of the Vallée du Loir. Here is a presentation of the four emblematic loops, accessible from the town and ideal for a nature, heritage or relaxation outing.

Ranging from 20 to 48 km, these 4 loops will enable you to discover the marshes of Cré-sur-Loir / La Flèche,the lakes of La Monnerie, Bazouges-sur-le-Loir and the small towns of Luché-Pringé and Le Lude, famous for its castle.

3 loops around La Chartre-sur-le-Loir 

La Chartre-sur-le-Loir is a great starting point for exploring the Loir Valley by bike. Between vineyards, hillsides, picturesque villages and bucolic landscapes, four signposted loops allow you to discover the full diversity of the region. Discover the Vallée de la Dême, Loir en Vallée, the remarkable gardens and the estates and wine cellars of the Vallée du Loir.

Last 2 loops 

Two final loops complete the cycling offer:

  • Loop 19 links Saint-Jean-de-la-Motte with Mansigné and Luché-Pringé. Along its 28 km, you’ll discover groves, fortified mills and priories!
  • Loop 3 takes you from Montval-sur-Loir to the limestone slopes and hillsides of the Vallée du Loir and to the splendid panoramas of the Loir Valley.
