La Flèche Zoo is one of the five largest zoos in France. It houses over 1,500 animals of 150 species, spread over 18 hectares.

Polar bears, Sumatran tigers, giraffes– everyone has their favourite animal and their own space at La Flèche zoo. Here are the not-to-be-missed areas and activities for all the family.

The African plain

Immerse yourself in the heart of the savannah with the new African plain. Over several hectares, you’ll seegiraffes roaming freely alongside zebras, antelopes, ostriches and many other emblematic species. This vast area recreates the atmosphere of thegreat African landscapes for total immersion. Children will be amazed by the proximity of the animals.

Nosy Komba

Right in the heart of the park, you’ll be transported straight to Madagascar. The whole family can wander around and discover Nosy Komba, the lemur island where maki cattas and black and white varis roam freely. This 2,000 m² area is also home to striped tortoises, around sixty birds and pink flamingos, which have also found refuge on this islet of the zoo.

The Asian plain at La Flèche zoo

Laid out in 2017, the Asian plain is at the other end of the park. Away from the crowds, you can wander among the Indian rhinos, the queen species of this area. As you explore this plain, you’ll be able to admire antelopes, otters bathing in a natural river, siamangs, and you’ll be surprised by a huge 500m² aviary populated by around a hundred rainbow lorises, which will delight visitors who love immersion enclosures.

Shows and entertainment

All year round, La Flèche Zoo offers a wide range of shows and events. You can meet the Sumatran tigers or the grizzly bears and take part in the hippopotamus, penguin and giraffe tea parties!

Not to be missed! La Flèche Zoo invites you to take part in a guided feeding of the California sea lions and a presentation of free-flying birds. Get ready to see the vultures leap into the audience and brush against visitors’ heads.

Throughout the day, there are more than 10 events to learn more about the animals at the Zoo. These are fun times to spend with the family, but they’re also educational and will raise your awareness of animal protection.
