This loop takes you in the footsteps of a local figure with a passion for cycling: Louis Désiré Rustin, inventor of the famous Rustines. Cycle through woodland and grassy valleys, criss-crossing the countryside and discovering the discreet and confidential Loir valley.
The villages of Poncé sur Loir and Ruillé sur Loir, set in the heart of the Valley's vineyards, are waiting for you to discover their heritage. Don't miss a visit to the Château de Poncé sur Loir and its remarkable gardens. The winegrowers along the route are also waiting to welcome you with tours of their cellars and wine tastings. It was here, in the heart of the Loir Valley, that Louis Désiré Rustin, inventor of the famous Rustines, trained on these very roads and developed his famous rubber patching process. The Rustin company is still based in La Chartre sur le Loir (cannot be visited).
