An exceptional concert of sacred music in aid of the restoration of the church of Saint-Aubin in Bazouges-Cré sur Loir on Friday 19 June at 8 pm.
On 19 June at 8pm, the church of Saint-Aubin in Bazouges-Cré sur Loir will host an exceptional concert of sacred music, performed by the Ensemble La Sportelle, with all proceeds going towards the restoration of the church.
The concert is entitled "Contemplation, Histoire d'une vie: Les grandes étapes de l'existence humaine". Throughout the centuries, sacred music has been able to express the great stages of human existence: wonder, doubt, trust and adoration. This programme, conceived as an inner journey, echoes these universal emotions through works from the Renaissance to the twentieth century.
from the Renaissance to the 20th century. It weaves a dialogue between eras and styles, guiding us in a musical reflection on the meaning of life. An intimate and universal experience, where the beauty of choral singing becomes a reflection of our emotions and questions.
Programme for 9 singers, with works by Bach, Mendelssohn, Poulenc and Messiaen.
