About me: My name is Hélène; I am the founder and manager of the farm. I am married and mum to a son, Alexis. I was born in Mayenne to farming parents, and I have always had a passion for animals, particularly horses. Nature and being outdoors are essential to my wellbeing. After studying agriculture (BEPA, vocational baccalaureate in farm management and operations), I naturally gravitated towards the equestrian sector, where I obtained my Professional Certificate in Youth and Sport with a specialisation in equestrian tourism (BPJEPS). After a few years at an equestrian centre, I wanted to try my hand at the world of horse racing, where I spent several years of my life. I then had my son, and moved into youth work within the civil service. (I hold the BAFA qualification and have a recognised equivalent to the CAP in early years care.) I worked as a youth worker at a leisure centre during the school holidays and as an ATSEM during term time. We are an educational farm that opened in September 2024, in the village of Bazouges Cré sur Loir. First and foremost, this is a home we have chosen and where we live: my husband, my son and I. I really want to bring this place to life and fill young and old alike with wonder, whilst respecting animals and nature. It’s a place where life is good and simple, and where I’d love to share some wonderful moments with you. We welcome families of all ages, from 0 to 100, as well as schools and other organisations. On the farm, you’ll be able to meet all sorts of animals; we have various breeds of hens, rabbits, guinea pigs, ponies, goats, sheep, alpacas… Come and meet our mascot Ninja (a mini Shetland pony) – and lots of other animals are waiting for you. The farm is open for self-guided visits on the first Wednesday of every month from 10.00 to 12.30, and on Saturday and Sunday mornings from 10.00 to 12.30. (Booking required on Saturday and Sunday afternoons and on other days of the week). You’ll set off to discover our animals with educational explanations about their lifestyles, breeds and more… - Self-guided or guided tours with explanations and educational activities. - Help with feeding the animals - Pony rides available (at an extra cost): €10 for a half-hour ride, €20 for a one-hour ride - Self-guided tour: €6 / Guided tour: €8 / Children under 2 free. We also host birthday parties at the farm! (Booking required – two packages available) - Package 1: for 8 children and 2 adults: €155 (€5 per additional adult or child) - Option 2: for 8 children and 2 accompanying adults: €200 (€5 per additional adult or child). This second option also includes: a quad bike ride with a trailer and a personalised sugar paste cake. We also welcome groups; visits can be arranged for half a day (either morning or afternoon) or a full day. Educational workshops are available to complement the farm tour. To host us, we’ll need: a flat area, space for our van, and access to water (we bring all the necessary equipment with us). We travel within a 60 km radius of the farm. We also have a horse boarding facility where horses are kept year-round or on a temporary basis. We have a 40x60 Fontainebleau sand arena (with jumps and poles available for free use). Riding trails are accessible directly from the site. (There are currently places available for livery.)
