Baugé’s Bastille Day celebrations
The town of Baugé-en-Anjou will be decked out in festive lights for Bastille Day. A parade and official ceremony, a concert, a DJ set and a fireworks display are all on the programme for 14 July 2026.
The National Day celebrations will begin on Tuesday morning with a parade featuring the Baugé fire brigade and junior fire brigade, veterans and flag bearers, and local councillors. The parade is scheduled to set off at 10.30 am from Rue du Collège towards Place de l’Europe for a wreath-laying ceremony at the war memorial and a tribute to the fallen. Following a review of the fire brigade’s equipment, a dawn concert will then be held on the esplanade of the René d’Anjou Cultural Centre.
From 8.30 pm, the Cadets du Baugeois will provide entertainment until the traditional fireworks display at 11 pm in front of the Baugé courthouse.
The Baugé Festival Committee is organising a day of games open to all from 11 am to 7 pm. Wooden games, board game demonstrations by ‘Les trésors de Louloujou’. Musical entertainment by the ‘Duo Sunshine’. From 7pm, the EAB will take over with a concert by ‘Les Cadets Du Baugeois’, followed by fireworks and a public dance hosted by a DJ.
Throughout the day, there will be a refreshment stand, food trucks, an artisan ice cream parlour, a duck pond, chichis and candyfloss.
