Gîte Le Lizard

Come and enjoy the Loir valley and the Bercé forest (hiking, fishing, mountain biking). I have been fishing for many years and would be delighted to advise you during your stay. I also enjoy hiking and mycology in the Bercé forest. The gite is close to the 24-hour Le Mans race circuit (Mulsanne bend), zoos (La Fleche, Spaycific'zoo), the Loire châteaux and vineyards (Jasnières). The price of the gite includes the hire of sheets and towels and the provision of baby equipment (cot + mattress, bath, changing mat, high chair, potty). The gite has 2 bedrooms: -bedroom 1: 1 double bed with dressing room -Bedroom 2: 2 single beds with a large wardrobe and 2 extra mattresses under the beds if you need them. -Living room with sofa bed and sofa bed + TV, DVD player -1 separate bathroom/ WC Fully-equipped kitchen to make life easier during your stay (dishwasher, oven, microwave, fridge/freezer, 4-ring gas hob), plenty of accessories available. -Back kitchen with washing machine -Garage with space for fishing (metal cupboards and fridge/freezer). -The garden is planted with many fruit trees, and depending on the season you can enjoy pears, quinces, apricots, hazelnuts, cherries, mirabelles and nectarines. The vegetable garden is 'wild' permaculture-style, with perennial vegetables and herbs. You can of course use thyme and mint for your herbal teas, sorrel to flavour your sauces... Raspberries and strawberries to liven up your desserts in season. To help you get out and about and find ideas, you'll find themed binders and lots of brochures on site. For your day-to-day needs, there are local shops within walking distance (bakery, butcher, mini-market, etc.) as well as shopping areas within easy reach by car (Leclerc, Intermarché, etc.). You can come without a car, arrive by train at Château du Loir station and be at the gite in just 2km. There is a local bus service and you can hire bikes at the bottom of the development.
