Gîte l'Orée du Bois

At our holiday cottage, L’Orée du Bois, you’ll be staying in a cosy little retreat with a jacuzzi. The kitchen is fully equipped so you can cook to your heart’s content. You’ll also have access to a dishwasher and a washing machine. We love antique furniture, so you’ll be dining at a round oak table with straw-seated chairs. However, the sofa bed is new for greater comfort (140). Upstairs, the bedroom has a queen-size bed and an antique wardrobe, whilst the bathroom/WC features a walk-in shower. You’ll have access to a plancha, a raclette set for two, a clothes horse, an iron and a hairdryer… And for the little ones, we can lend you a travel cot and a high chair on request. Outside, you can enjoy a dining area and sun loungers. There is parking for cars or motorbikes (the grounds are fenced off). As its name suggests, the gîte is situated on the edge of the woods, ideal for walking, running… But it’s also close to the village centre, where you’ll find all the local shops you need. Vaas is a small, lively village typical of the Loir Valley, where there are plenty of events and festive celebrations. There’s a shopping centre 7 km away in Château du Loir. The Le Mans 24-hour race circuit is about 40 minutes away. Lude Castle is 12 km away; La Flèche Zoo is 30 km away; Tours is 45 minutes away. There are two leisure centres nearby offering swimming and water sports. One is in Marçon and the other in Mansigné. There is a swimming pool in Château du Loir.
