In the heart of the Sarthe, at Lhomme, La Conraie Ferme Permacole embodies a different way of living off the land. Joaquim and Fleur cultivate simplicity, sobriety and respect for living things, based on the principles of permaculture and a philosophy of living in harmony with nature.
There are no big buildings or flashy machines here: everything is designed with common sense, recycled materials and ingenious ideas. The farm makes the most of local resources - in particular the local green waste - and offers a range of activities: natural beekeeping, hornet control, maintenance of ecological green spaces and direct sales of farm produce.
More than just a place of production, La Conraie is a place for sharing, experimentation and transmission, where everyone can rediscover the beauty of a simple life, close to nature and the seasons.
