The Loir Valley by bike: section between Château-du-Loir and Le Lude via Vaas and the banks of the Loir.
Before leaving Château-du-Loir, it's worth stopping off at the Rotonde ferroviaire in Montabon!
The Vallée du Loir à vélo route takes in the countryside above Château-du-Loir before descending to the Loir. The route takes you along back roads through lush countryside of ponds, meadows and hedged farmland. At Vaas, after skirting the Loir, visit the Rotrou mill and the church of the former abbey. Then head back towards Le Lude, Petite Cité de Caractère, and its castle.
