Description
A unique tour of the Manoir de Rebondais and a gypsy jazz concert by La Canne à Swing.
Situated in the heart of Chemillé-sur-Dême, the Rebondais manor house is a remarkable example of late 15th and early 16th century civil architecture. It regularly played host to the poet Pierre de Ronsard, who referred to it in some of his writings as a place imbued with joie de vivre. Attested as early as 1608, the manor house has survived the centuries not without difficulties: weakened by time and threatened with extinction, it was finally saved and carefully restored.
Gypsy jazz - LA CANNE À SWING-
After playing the repertoire of Django Reinhardt and gypsy jazz (more than 800 concerts in France and abroad), La Canne à Swing is broadening its repertoire, with a mix of compositions, Mediterranean music, swing, bolero... It's a journey full of gaiety and poetry.
