The Atelier de fabrique artistique Les Moulins de Paillard, founded in 2009, is a unique venue for the creation and production of dance, music, visual arts, architecture, electronic textiles, etc. Anchored in a rural area, Paillard has a number of missions, including the production and dissemination of contemporary works and the preservation and enhancement of the heritage site through a varied and open programme of exhibitions, events and educational workshops throughout the year.
Artists and researchers are invited to take up residencies here, in an environment conducive to experimentation and dialogue between heritage and contemporary creation.
Les Moulins de Paillard is supported by Europe and the Leader Fund, the Ministry of Culture - Regional Department of Cultural Affairs, the Sarthe Department and the Loir-Lucé-Bercé Community of Municipalities. Paillard has been selected to join the REGION Médicis network. An association of general interest, Paillard is an associate member of the Centres Culturels de Rencontre.
