The Micro-Folie in Baugé-en-Anjou is a digital museum that provides access to numerous works from national, regional and European collections.
This innovative project is supported by the French Ministry of Culture and coordinated by La Villette. Its aim is to be a cultural programme at the service of local communities.
Come and discover masterpieces of painting and sculpture, as well as content linked to performing arts, for an educational immersion via a digital device.
The digital museum
The digital museum consists of a projection screen showing films based on the works of the partner institutions. There are two ways to visit the museum:
- Free mode: This main mode allows visitors to explore the projected collections on their own. Access to digital tablets allows you to find out more about a particular work. You can also explore the subject in greater depth with a range of audio-visual content linked to the works (complementary works and videos) and even games (jigsaw puzzle, teasing game, memory)!
- Conference mode: Micro-visits are programmed on different themes selected by the mediator. The works on display are also shown on the digital tablets available to visitors.
The Virtual Reality Space
Virtual reality headsets are available in this area.
Content created by Arte and Ubisoft allows visitors to immerse themselves in 360° images of works such as Claude Monet's Water Lilies, historical events such as the eruption of Mount Vesuvius in Pompeii, the North Pole and even outer space!
A scheme backed by the French government, overseen by the Ministry of Culture and accompanied by La Villette, with the support of the 3 Musées Insolites en Anjou.
