In 2026, the Jules Desbois Museum is delighted to present its new acquisition: *Orpheus*.
This early work by Jules Desbois, first exhibited in 1875, was rediscovered in Château-Gontiers in 2022 after having been declared lost for nearly 50 years.
Damaged by the passage of time and repeated moves, the work now requires extensive restoration work to restore it to its original integrity and beauty.
