At the time, it was used as a trading post for the local residents.
In the 19th century, it housed the Town Hall. The Town Hall worked here for many years.
In the 20th century, the municipal services moved to a new building.
The Halle au Blé lost its administrative function.
In the second half of the 20th century, the Town Hall decided to convert it into a theatre.
The building was fitted out to receive the public.
