Vineyards and wines in the Loir Valley

Vineyards

Some small vineyards have survived thanks to the talent of a few winegrowers whoare attached to their land. Just a stone’s throw from the banks of the Loire, the Vallée du Loir enjoys a good climate, favourable soil and grape varieties that are ideal for wine production. Coteaux du Loir (AOC since 1948) and Jasnières (AOC since 1937) are now very well known and appreciated outside their region.
