International Forest Day celebrates the richness of forests: biodiversity, climate, jobs... Take part in events and walks to discover this ecosystem and learn how to protect it. It's a day to meet people who are passionate about nature!

- Forestry walk: let's talk management! with Anthony Jeanneau, forester with the ONF - 10am to 12pm.

How can we reconcile forest life and human management? The different elements of the landscape will serve as a guide to understanding the work of foresters. Ponds, landforms, tree species and forestry jobs are all clues to the link between the forest ecosystem and its day-to-day management.

- Walk with the FFRandonnée de la Sarthe and Yvan Sevrée, forester with the ONF - 2pm.

Set off on an 8km hike in the heart of the Bercé forest. Along the way, ONF forester Yvan Sevrée will share his knowledge of this remarkable forest massif: fauna and flora, tree species, forest management and forestry jobs.

- Visit Carnuta, Maison de l'Homme et de la forêt - 2pm to 6pm

Carnuta is an interpretation centre dedicated to the Bercé forest, offering an immersive journey to better understand the forest, its biodiversity and the jobs that shape it.
You can also enjoy an exhibition by Dominique Mansion, an artist renowned for his work on pollarded trees. It's an opportunity to combine artistic vision and naturalist knowledge of the world of forests.
