Dear visitors, we are delighted to welcome you to the Loir Valley, in historic Anjou.

Nestling in a green setting is the elegant Château de Caillebert, with its outbuildings and 11 hectares of meadows and forests. Home to the illustrious Baron Schramm, Napoleon's general, and a branch of the Castelbajac family with a passion for horses and hunting, this château is a fascinating page in French history. In 2020, a very large family embarked on the wonderful adventure of restoring the estate's buildings and offering you a choice of listed gîtes in an exceptional setting. The price of the gîtes is used for this restoration.
The château sleeps 15 people and the longère sleeps 9.
The château has been perfectly restored to provide security and comfort on a daily basis.

The grounds are ideal for relaxing and unwinding, and you'll love the sunset aperitifs. Away from the crowds, you'll enjoy a unique experience, plunging into the past, the serenity of the surroundings and respect for nature. At sunrise, you'll see roe deer roaming freely in the park.

The Loir valley is full of activities, including La Flèche zoo, La Monnerie lake, Terra Botanica, the Malicorne earthenware museum, bike hire, swimming pool, tennis, golf at Sablé and Baugé, Angers 30 minutes away, Saumur and Le Mans and its racetrack.
Close to the Château de Chambiers, the Château de Plessis-Bourré and the Château du Lude, the Loire's leading castle, 20 minutes away.
Also close to the abbeys of Solesmes and fontevraud. We are at the heart of several long-distance hiking trails, and close to the Sarthe greenway.

The château has been insulated, and most of the windows have been replaced with double-glazed units, while those that have been retained provide optimum ventilation. Large velux windows have been added to the roof to give the 2nd floor bedrooms plenty of natural light.
