    Through his exhibition "Des images photographiques", artist Gérard Bertrand invites us on a journey to the heart of the image and the imagination.

    Trained as an engraver at the Beaux-Arts d'Angers in the 1980s, he has been developing a singular and patient body of work since 2002, comprising 15 series of photographic images.
    His compositions, full of poetic (or sometimes black) humour, invite us to imagine what comes next, to engage in a dialogue...

    His compositions, full of poetic (or sometimes black) humour, invite us to imagine what comes next, to engage in a dialogue with the images, in a spirit reminiscent of Sempé or Topor.
    Each image becomes a story in suspense, an open scene that the viewer is invited to extend, to complete with his or her gaze or imagination.
