A pretty little rural commune, Lhomme is the birthplace of Jasnières white wine, which has had the appellation d'origine contrôlée (AOC) since 1937.

Lhomme is a village in the south of the Sarthe department in the Vallée du Loir. It is the birthplace of Jasnières wine, known since the Middle Ages and classified as an AOC since 1937. On south-facing clay-limestone slopes, around twenty winegrowers produce around 280,000 bottles a year from some 80 hectares. The village is bordered by the greenway that runs 33 km from Bessé-sur-Braye to Montval-sur-Loir.
