Discover a unique site thanks to its natural surroundings, the history told by its centuries-old tufa blocks and the new creations housed in the old buildings.
From 11.30am to 1.30pm (booking recommended): Plant intelligence is constantly becoming more complex in order to adapt, reproduce, communicate, cooperate, interact, feed and care for ever greater abundance. At the heart of our lives and matter, plants offer us another look at the fundamentals of the living system. Guided by the spontaneous plants in our gardens and the expertise of Eve Gaignard, Les Moulins de Paillard invites you to take a walk through our plant heritage and know-how...
For those who want to enjoy the whole programme, bring your own picnic for a country lunch amongst the flowers!
From 4pm to 6pm (booking essential): visit with Stéphanie Barioz, on the architectural heritage organised as part of the Sarthe Department's Thematic Tours, and Shelly De Vito for a presentation of the exhibition "Vulnerable Bodies /Corps Vulnérables" by Viennese artist Christoph Weber. In a scientific and sculptural way, the artist explores matter and the processes of transformation, questioning the relationship between humans and the environment. His favourite material, concrete - the second most used substance in the world after water - meets another stone, tuffeau, the local and natural wealth of the Loir Valley and the foundation of the architectural heritage of the Moulins de Paillard.
Limited places for the visit from 4pm to 6pm, booking essential on the dedicated platform: https://www.billetweb.fr/eau-vallee-du-loir /!
The Moulins de Paillard
For 15 years, our non-profit association has been supporting projects in all areas of the arts. Recognised as one of the Ateliers de fabrique artistique, Paillard has a number of missions, including the production and dissemination of contemporary works. Located on the banks of the River Loir in a former 18th-century paper mill, Paillard offers a contemporary programme of exhibitions, choreographies, concerts and conferences. The residence offers artists and researchers a working environment that is both industrial and bucolic, in Poncé-sur-le-Loir, Loir-en-Vallée. Les Moulins de Paillard is supported by the Ministère de la Culture - Drac Pays de la Loire, the Département de la Sarthe and the Communauté de communes Loir-Lucé-Bercé.
An event organised as part of the Departmental Cultural Biennial and the Ministry of Culture's Cultural Summer.
