Petites Cités d’Anjou en lumière à Baugé

The Petites Cités de Caractère® of Maine-et-Loire are getting ready to shine with a thousand lights for the third edition of Petites Cités d'Anjou en Lumière.
The delegated municipality of Baugé will be hosting the event on Saturday 20 December from 5.30pm, as part of the Baugé Christmas Market, which runs from 19 to 21 December 2025.
Imagine streets and alleyways lit by candles, with stone in the spotlight, a lively light show combining music, dance and street art, and unique encounters and events in our Petites Cités de Caractère® in Maine-et-Loire, bringing together heritage, local residents, craftspeople and local associations...
A not-to-be-missed event at the end of the year in Baugé, the town centre will be lit up on Saturday 20 December from 5.30pm, on the esplanade of the René d'Anjou Cultural Centre, for all to enjoy.
From 5.30pm: Father Christmas and his musical parade through the streets of the town, accompanied by "Les Sourdingues".
At 6.30pm: "Féérie" show by the Luminescence company in the Hôtel-Dieu gardens, followed by a musical return to the Christmas market, open until 9pm.
To ensure the success of the festivities, the town of Baugé-en-Anjou is inviting residents and shopkeepers in Baugé town centre to place candles in their windows, shop windows, doorways, etc. for the duration of the parade.
Lanterns will be on sale at the Rotary Club stand at the Christmas market all day on Saturday, at a cost of €3.
