  • The 33km greenway linking Montval-sur-Loir to Bessé-sur-Braye is ideal for hikers and cyclists. Completely safe and easy to use, as it was built on a former railway line, the greenway winds along the banks of the Loir, offering great views of the river and its hillsides.

    Take the whole family on a discovery tour of leisure and heritage sites, as well as some of Sarthe's best-known skills:

    - Les Moulins de Paillard, an art centre in Poncé-sur-le-Loir,
    - The village of Poncé, with its Romanesque church featuring remarkable frescoes, and the gardens of the Château de Poncé,
    - La verrerie d'art des coteaux, a workshop open to the public,
    - The Château de Courtanvaux in Bessé-sur-Braye.

    If you fancy a break, there are several picnic areas along the green route. There are also campsites nearby (Marçon, La Chartre-sur-le-Loir, Bessé-sur-Braye). A bike hire and repair service (The Green Bike) is located halfway along the route at Ruillé-sur-Loir.
